Douglas Van Dusen, PT, DPT is a long time resident of Yuba City, California. He worked for Rideout Outpatient Rehabilitation Services for 14 years before leaving to open his own Physical Therapy Clinic, VAN DUSEN Physical Therapy, Inc., where he specializes in Sports and Orthopedic Rehab.

Doug received his Bachelor of Science degree, in Exercise Science from California State University, Sacramento and later graduated from the Physical Therapy program. He earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at A.T. Still University. He continues to follow his dream of becoming a master clinician in Physical Therapy by attending multiple courses in manual therapy and evaluation techniques.

Doug provides an intense treatment style in order to maximize function and minimize the recovery time. He has a special interest in working with athletes and treats many from beginners to highly trained professionals. He is dedicated to spending quality time with his patients and promotes healing and learning in a fun environment.

Doug enjoys teaching Physical Therapy students what he knows and provides an educational atmosphere by inviting them to observe. He also provides an opportunity for graduate students to participate in clinical rotations in his clinic.

In addition to Physical Therapy, Douglas is a sports enthusiast and enjoys hunting and golfing.

Trevor

Trevor Stoehr, DPT, OCS

TPI level 2 Medical Certified

Trevor Stoehr, DPT, OCS, TPI level 2 Medical Certified, has lived in Yuba City, California most his life. He worked as a Personal Trainer for 7 years before graduating and becoming a Physical Therapist. Trevor then joined VAN DUSEN Physical Therapy, Inc. in July 2017. 

Trevor received his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from California State University, Sacramento and then went through to their Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. 

Trevor has continued to build up his experience and foundation of knowledge while working at VAN DUSEN Physical Therapy, Inc. by challenging himself in various fields. Trevor became an OCS in 2018 and in 2020 became TPI level 2 Medical Certified, in order to develop a Golf-related program through the clinic. Even though Trevor has completed his doctorate, he considers himself a life-long learner and looks forward to every opportunity to further his knowledge in Physical Therapy. 

In Trevor’s free time he enjoys being active by playing golf or exercising, and he loves to spend quality time with his family. He has 2 children and has been married since 2013.  

Tana

Tana Tibbet, PTA

Tana Tibbet, PTA was born and raised in the Yuba Sutter area.  Being a Physical Therapy Assistant has been a goal of hers since 1998.  She worked at Casa Carlos and VAN DUSEN Physical Therapy, Inc., as an Aide, while attending the Sac City PTA program and graduated in 2019.  Tana likes to cook and do yoga.  Tana is very involved in both her son’s extracurricular activities including wrestling and football.

 

 

Lucy Ngo, PTA

Lucy Ngo, PTA was born and raised in San Francisco.  She went to PTA school in Loma Linda.  One of her clinical rotations was with VAN DUSEN Physical Therapy, Inc where she discovered the challenging yet rewarding aspect of manual therapy and decided to continue to learn with us.   She currently resides in Roseville and likes to bike, snowshoe and hike. 

 

Alex Keown, PTA, DPT

Alex Keown, PT, DPT, is new to Yuba City having grown up in Fairfield. He completed a clinical internship at VAN DUSEN Physical Therapy Inc., as a student before he was hired on as a Physical Therapist in 2020.  

Alex received his Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from University of California, Davis. He then went on to receive his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at California State University, Sacramento.  

Alex developed a special interest in neuroscience since his time as an undergraduate student. He is currently completing a certificate for LSVT BIG therapy specifically for working with patients with Parkinson’s Disease. He plans to develop a program at VAN DUSEN Physical Therapy Inc., to work with that patient population as well as, continue to further his education in Orthopedic Physical Therapy.   

In his free time, Alex enjoys golfing, hiking, skiing, and paddle boarding.   

 

Tyler

Tyler Schau, DPT

Tyler Schau, DPT, grew up in the Sacramento area and is currently residing in Roseville. He completed a clinical internship at VAN DUSEN Physical Therapy Inc., as a student before he was hired on as a Physical Therapist in 2020.  

He received a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science before completing his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from California State University, Sacramento. Tyler found a passion in working in Outpatient Physical Therapy and plans on furthering his knowledge by becoming an Orthopedic Certified Specialist. Tyler also has a strong interest in Vestibular Rehabilitation and will complete courses to help further his knowledge of BPPV by the end of 2020.  

In Tyler’s free time, he enjoys hiking, playing ice hockey, basketball, golfing, and traveling to other countries. Tyler and his fiancé have 3 dogs that they love to take on long walks. He has played many sports throughout his lifetime and enjoys working with athletes.  Tyler’s favorite sports teams are the Sacramento Kings and Pittsburgh Steelers.
